In honor of National Pet Day I thought I would create a post dedicated to my little Maximus.
Max has been such a huge blessing to our family ever since we adopted him when he was 5 months old. He has brought so much joy and laughter to our family. I know I may be biased, but he is one of the most loving, huggable and intelligent dogs I’ve come in contact with. (He may also be one of the cutest :) )
This photo was taken of Max the week we got him. We adopted him the week of Christmas so it’s fitting he is wearing a cute little Christmas sweater.
National Pet Day also got me thinking: Max is pretty much my little sidekick. Then that made me start thinking of all of the great (and sometimes adorable) sidekicks that appear in Disney movies.
I know that not all pets are sidekicks, and not all sidekicks are pets, but I thought it would be fun to share my top ten favorite Disney sidekicks.
10. Jiminy Cricket
When I think of Jiminy Cricket he is to me one of the OG sidekicks and is so iconic. I always think of him in the retired fireworks show at Walt Disney World, Wishes.
9. Meeko & Flit
I was obsessed with Pocahontas in elementary school and this duo never disappointed.
8. Rajah
No, this pick isn’t because of Tiger, King. Haha Rajah is so cute and who wouldn’t want a tiger or big cat as a pet? I meant that figuratively....not in support of large cats being actual pets! Haha
7. Olaf & Sven
I was always a Frozen Fan, but ever since we saw the premiere of Frozen 2 at Disney Springs, I have been obsessed with this duo. Olaf is hilarious and Sven is adorable!
6. Gus Gus & Jaq
These two are so funny to me. Plus, Gus Gus is a guy after my own heart. He loves food, specifically cheese.
5. Timon & Pumba
Two words: hakuna matata.
4. Abu & the Magic Carpet
I love how much personality each of these characters have. Even though the magic carpet can’t speak, his reactions and personality really come to life.
3. Sebastion & Flounder
The human world...it’s a mess. If I lived under the sea I would definitely want these two sidekicks to call my own.
2. Pascal & Maximus
Pascal and Maximus have so much attitude in the movie Tangled. It’s one of my newer favorites mainly because of the two of them.
1. Lumiere & Cogsworth
As most of you may know, Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie. These two are hilarious on their own, but put them both together and they are my favorite!
