Disney Adventureland Inspired Makeup

Updated: Jun 24, 2020

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since my last post, and so much has happened. COVID-19 has officially changed life here in the United States. In my home state, our shelter in place lockdown has been extended until April 30th.

I've been working from home for the past few weeks and I've been taking advantage of going makeup-free and my skin has been loving it, haha.

Last Saturday I had a little bit of extra time on my hands so I decided to put on makeup for a change. I am by no means a makeup artist (obviously) but I thought it would be fun to put on makeup and draw inspiration from one of my favorite lands in Magic Kingdom. I posted a time-lapse video on my Instagram last week showing how I created the look.

Below is how I created this look as well as a breakdown of all the products I used in the video.

Because I have never made a makeup video before, I really didn't know how long this video was going to end up being. To save time, I had already applied my foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer, blush and brows.

The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette by Huda Beauty • $65

I applied the shade Bare all over my lid and followed with a transition shade in my crease using the color Play. I then started gradually adding the shade Secret into my crease and then extending a little beyond the crease with a larger brush.

Robin Hood Storybook Palette by Storybook Cosmetics • $35 (I received this in my Boxycharm recently)

I applied the shade Quiver to the inner corner of my eye and also applied towards the middle of my eye.

Natural Goddess Eyeshadow Palette by Butter London • $32

I used the shade Diva which is a gold shimmer color and applied where I put the shade Quiver from the Robin Hood palette.

I then went back in with the color Secret in the New Nude palette and blended the shadow into my crease.

Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette by Too Faced • $59

I applied the shade Haute Chocolate on the outer corner of my lids.

I went back to my Robin Hood palette and applied the shade Merry Men under my eye.

For eyeliner I used the Blickity Black Eyeliner by Hank & Henry • $17

This step is totally optional, but I decided to have a little bit of fun and applied my Effortless Natural Lashes by Velour Lashes ($26).

To make sure the false lashes blended well with my natural lashes I added mascara after I applied the false lashes. I added Clout Mascara also by Hank & Henry. ($19)

To top off the look I added the Vanilla Quartz Shimmering Skin Perfector by Becca Cosmetics. ($38)

To finish everything off I added one of my favorite lipsticks. I used Super Stay Matte Ink Lipstick by Maybelline. I used the shade Self-Starter.

And that's everything!

I plan on doing a look for each land in Magic Kingdom in the next few weeks so stay stuned!

This is a close up of the finished look. This may be just me, but I was getting total Tiki Room vibes!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all are staying safe and healthy out there!
